Ransomware Data Recovery

Affected by Ransomware and can’t access your data? Data Analyzers Recovery Division can help. Our data recovery engineers will work with you to recover your data as quickly as possible.

What to do if you are the victim of Ransomware?

  • It is important not to panic as it can affect your decisions and lead to permanent data loss.
  • Check your most-recent backup. Make sure you do so on some other station-computer which is not affected.
  • Never pay the ransom because attackers may still keep your data locked.
  • Contact a specialist for advice and to explore recovery options.

What is Ransomware?

Ransomware is a type of malicious software, or malware, designed to deny access to a computer data (or Operation System) until a ransom is paid. Ransomware typically spreads through phishing emails, disguised software packages and apps or via an infected website. There are few types of ransomware but we are listing most common:

Scareware – The basic form of Ransomware. These applications or programs mostly come as fake (misleading software). In most cases these generate pop-ups that resemble system messages, usually disguised as antivirus or anti-spyware software, a firewall application or a registry cleaner.

Lock-screen viruses – When infected, the virus locks the user’s computer and displays a full screen message usually saying that your PC is affected requiring payment (ransom) to unlock the computer.

Encryption Ransomware – This is the most advanced kind of ransomware yet. After gaining access to the victim’s computer, the attacker encrypts every file and folder on the computer. When user opens a file ransom message is displayed.
